"Living - all that we do, all we say - all that we see are mere distractions to entertain our valueless minds (even the greatest) - pointless and endless function for the sole purpose of sustaining vital body and life itself (which continues contently while we are distracted). Who we are, what we do and what we know means absolutley nothing. People seemingly trying to find or get meaning in everything - there isnt any meaning. Everything is special but nothing is important apart from lifes essence which can rarely/truly be experienced or appreciated by us anyway. Accept maybe some sober waking moments of the night where the reality of things become clear. Even the best of us are egocentric, vanity stricken, selfish pointless busy lost strivers and seekers of nothing - needing acceptance from others but really just ourselves; even when we do things for 'others' we are really doing it for acceptance of self. This being the drive/motivation for all we do and our continued distraction - and we have no control over this because we are programmed to it biologically. Which is quite funny really. Its like a child occupied with toys or television to keep from harm. But we are the keepers of something important, just not uniquely important, because that single important thing does not last for us. Maybe we cannot comprehend our own value which is why we passionately distract ourselves with endless tasks and searching. Instead, we should perhaps spend more time appreciating each other, or at least stop pretending to whilst distracting ourselves. We have made a world where everything is about the individual and gain (a.k.a. distraction) whether knowledge, wealth (material and/or monetary), respect, love and to all of these things we create a value, which is frustrating. Economies (and so society [cliche]) are built on distraction. We are all foolish mammals who believe quality distraction improves quality of life. I wish there was more than self, gain, acceptance and escapism; because we arent happy being distracted, trying to prove ourselves and everything else. Collectively, we have a desire to have and know everything. Im not even sure we are happy when we then attempt to seperate from it with escapism to reading, drink, games, dreams and holidays. Acceptance is really appreciation, so escapism is just a neccessary opportunity to make sure we take the time to appreciate other things for acceptance of 'other' - so even escapism holds no freewill. I'm so aware doing this I dont care for doing anything anymore and have to wait until old age to biologically not feel this, because we are programmed to have played our part by then. Pointless busy selfish effort is all there is. There was a lady in the supermarket today who barged me away at the same time saying 'sorry'. ****. The journey is ugly; solitary and strife for nothing greater than self"
